Auxiliary

Have you heard about the Auxilliary? Ever wonder what we do? We have been a strategic partner for SYC, helping to fulfill its mission, since our founding in 1959, representing 74 years of fun and service to the Club.

SYCA hosts many of the social events that you've attended, as members. We also support children's events and provide financial support for the Junior Sailing Program. Some of our funds are used to support improvements and maintenance of the SYC club house.

By joining the Auxilliary, you can become more involved in many aspects of the Club. An additional benefit of your yearly membership fee to SYCA includes a parking sticker for your car.

Club Involvement and Support

SYCA is a terrific way to get involved with the Club and get to know other Club members. We are always looking for volunteers to help with the events. You can volunteer as often as you like.

The Auxiliary has its own Board of Directors and governing rules, though it functions under the auspices of the Yacht Club. We hold monthly meetings to plan our upcoming activities. Although SYCA traditionally hosts certain events, we are open to new ideas and vary our calendar from year to year. In the past we’ve hosted fashion shows, theme parties, theater evenings, rummage sales, and more.
