At the beginner level students learn the basics of sailing such was wind direction, safety and seamanship, basic sailing knots, sail trim, and steering.  Before moving on to intermediates sailors need to demonstrate the use of the tiller extension, being comfortable when capsizing, proper docking, and points of sail.  Depending on age some students take this class twice.

Single handed sailing only for now.  Class will use RS Teras.

This offering is geared towards sailors who have prior experience and wish to expand on what they have learned.  Focusing on proper rigging, points of sail, seamanship, and getting comfortable sailing away from the yacht club.  Adventuring with your sailing friends while continueing to learn through formal instruction and lessons.

Our Spring sessions run February through May. These sessions are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups, and are intended to help kids maintain what they have learned over the summer and continue to develop skill and technique throughout the school year.
